Mums and children from Little Owls Nursery & Pre School in Witchampton set out their stall at the Symonds & Sampson Crichel Farm Sale on Friday 7th March, raising a mighty £1,021 in aid of the local pre-school. The sale of the Crichel Estate has meant major changes for the local community.

You need to zoom into Witchampton to find the status of the local exchange. (Its current status is “Not Currently in Roll Out Plans” status… that is the lowest status of five categories.
You will see that Witchampton is bottom of the list as regards getting faster broadband. This will become ever more inconvenient as in the future the internet will change to service the majority of people with fast broadband. Apart from a feeling of being left in the stone age it will affect the market value of our houses.
Many years ago there was a campaign run by the Witchampton Community to get the original basic broadband. I don’t know how we could organise anything along those lines now.
